Although the games differ in how much they succeed in scaring players, every game has at least one or two moments that will have most gamers reaching for their pillow. After a few lackluster releases that struggled to recapture the magic of Resident Evil 4, Capcom again decided to switch up their gameplay formula with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.ĭespite the multiple changes in direction and gameplay style, there is one thread that connects every game in the franchise: horror. The fourth major installment inspired many excellent titles like Dead Spaceand Alan Wake, and it is still recognized today as one of the greatest games of all time. Unlike many 90s franchises that struggled to adapt to the gaming industry's advancements in the 2000s, the Resident Evil series was able to reinvent itself in 2005 with Resident Evil 4. However, the symbols of fertility in Japan are (although sounds ridiculous enough to not believe) the dishes called Kazunoko (salted and marinated herring roe) and Kobumaki (stewed herring wrapped in konbu seaweed.) Eggplant has not been proven a symbol of fertility.The first Resident Evilgame hit stores in 1996, and it is still considered to be one of the most influential releases in the survival horror genre's history. This is fueled by the incorrect fact that the eggplant is the symbol of fertility in Japan. Some believe that Hatsuyume seen in the ending is for a bad version of it, because the eggplant is being cut at the end.
Further analysis of the game files show that its file is called ENDING.STR and is the only ending. It's impossible to completely fill every space in the dream chart, as the filled spaces will eventually disappear after many dreams.
In this "Hatsuyume" dream, these symbols mean something like - 'good luck'. In this video, Mountain Fuji (Literally Mountain "Fujisan" in Japanese), a hawk, and some eggplants are shown, while the numbers are counting down, and will produce an optical illusion if you look directly at the red spinning ball. The video shows an odd and hypnotizing version of Hatsuyume (初夢) (pronounced exactly as it is named and seemingly means something like "year's first dream"), a dream that occurs at the start of the new year supposedly signifying how lucky the dreamer will be in the oncoming year. This cutscene does signify something else however. Ending is a video cutscene at the end of LSD: Dream Emulator's day 365 (Year.) It's a common belief that LSD: Dream Emulator doesn't end because you are allowed to continue after this (but not go to day 366, although possible with hacking software.) This is true to some extent, but when the player completes a total of 365 dreams, the aforementioned cutscene will start and you will be restarted with The Chart still filled in some spaces and the day counter going back to zero, symbolizing The Japanese New Year.
